Getting your research into an influential journal is certain to give a boost to your future career prospects. It is a competitive business: many articles are put forward but few accepted. Data should be at the heart of everything and without excellent data, it is impossible to publish in high-impact journals.

Here are some tips:

Writing is like story telling: Start with a question and a logical argument. High-impact journals need strong evidence and noteworthy conclusions. Fill as many gaps in your paper as possible. A paper should be written with a journal in mind.

Know your readers: No one read everything you write, and if you do not focus on your paper you are going to reduce its impact factor. The readership of a scientific paper is specialized, and you should not assume that readers know everything related to your work field. This is particularly important in journals with high-impact factors, as one of the criteria for acceptance of your paper is research with broad relevance.

Be crisp and clear. Don’t underestimate the importance of a good title. A title receives far more views than the paper itself. They should be used as a hook, to catch readers and editors.

After the title, the abstract is the second most important section. It should briefly introduce the topic, stating the problem, the main findings and then give a perspective on possible benefits and utilities of these findings. Pay attention to the structure and language of the paper.

Editing services can assist you with style and other issues.

Using figures & tables: Figures & tables must visually represent your findings: they must be in a logical order and correspond to your work.

One of the principles of publishing in scientific journals is to reach the people who need to know about your research and publishing in high impact journals is one of the best ways of achieving that.

If you know how to put it all together your papers can be published in high impacts.
